Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is a renowned international service organization established in 1908 at Howard University. Rooted in sisterhood, scholarship, and service, the sorority has made a significant impact worldwide.

Upsilon Xi Omega Chapter was founded in 1997, carrying forward the legacy of Alpha Kappa Alpha. Our chapter, chartered by 31 dedicated women, has continued to grow and serve our communities at the local, regional, and international levels.

The members of Upsilon Xi Omega are the heart of our chapter, committed to providing impactful programs that benefit our community.

As the President of this esteemed chapter, I am honored to extend a warm welcome to you. Our chapter is dedicated to the principles of service, scholarship, and sisterhood, and we strive to make a positive impact on our community and beyond.

Since its chartering, Upsilon Xi Omega has been committed to serving the Plantation, Sunrise, Tamarac, and neighboring communities. We balance local service programs with international initiatives to address the diverse needs of our communities.

In alignment with our 2022-2026 International Program Theme, “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood,” led by International President Danette Anthony Reed, we have implemented numerous events and service programs.

The International Program focuses on six initiatives designed to advance Alpha Kappa Alpha’s mission. Our Foundation Initiative, “Strengthening our Sisterhood,” aims to fortify our bonds and support our service mission. The other five initiatives include:
